Marvel and Magic: The Gathering are set to unveil their highly anticipated crossover at New York Comic Con 2024. The collaboration between Marvel Comics and Wizards of the Coast will be showcased through multiple events at the convention, offering fans their first look at this upcoming project.
According to an announcement today on Marvel’s official website, anyone who visits their booth at NYCC will get the very “first look” at the MTG x Marvel collaboration. If you happen to be attending NYCC, go to Marvel Booth #2153 on Friday, October 18 for the sneak peek at Javits Center, in New York City.
Marvel also stated that MTG will have a panel with “surprise reveals” for fans on Friday, October 18th.
The upcoming sneak peek will be the first major update on the Marvel x MTG crossover since it was announced with the teaser trailer reveal last October. Watch below:
Not a whole lot has been disclosed about the MTG x Marvel collaboration at this time. We do know that the 2025 Marvel Tentpole set is scheduled to release in a similar fashion to the LOTR set. As a tentpole set, it is expected to be draftable and likely legal in Modern.
Mark Rosewater, head of design at MTG, also previously revealed that there will be multiple Marvel sets; however, the exact quantity and release cadence are not “public yet”.
