Looking to upgrade the Eldrazi Incursion MH3 precon deck with the best budget and premium cards for Commander and EDH? Our Eldrazi Incursion upgrade guide has you covered!
The most hyped MH3 precon is the Eldrazi Incursion Commander deck. Its presale price almost doubled to over $120 since its announcement, and for good reason. The power level here is very high compared to most precons. However, it’s hard to justify the insane price tag on the ripple foil Collector’s Edition of the deck.
In this article, we will help you improve the consistency and power level of your Eldrazi Incursion MH3 precon deck. This includes both budget card options and premium upgrades.
We will not include cEDH power level cards outside of MH3, otherwise, this list would just be cards like Mana Crypt. We also won’t be adding big Eldrazi game-enders like Emrakul, The Promised End. The reason for this is that these cards are quite expensive and come down to personal choice and which big Eldrazi finishers you already have in your collection.
Without further ado, here is our guide of the 25 Best Upgrades to the Eldrazi Incursion MH3 Precon deck:
#1 Echoes of Eternity

If there’s one splurge worth upgrading your Eldrazi Incursion precon with, it’s Echoes of Eternity. It doubles up everything you do. Cast a big colorless permanent? You get two of them instead of one. Got a cast trigger on an Eldrazi? Double it. Got an ETB trigger? Double it.
This card is absolutely nuts and one of the reasons you should run an Eldrazi deck.
#2 Ugin’s Binding

Ugin’s Binding is Cyclonic Rift, but custom-built for Eldrazi decks. Not only that, you only have to pay three mana and you’ll get the overloaded Rift effect for free later in the game.
This is the kind of card you cast and win the game with.
#3 Zhulodok, Void Gorger

Zhulodok is a must-run Eldrazi card for any Eldrazi deck. Because Eldrazi decks tend to run mostly mana rocks and payoff cards, abilities that give you card advantage are huge. Zhulodok does that in spades by turning every big Eldrazi cast into a 3-for-1.
#4 Kozilek’s Unsealing

Kozilek’s Unsealing does everything you want your deck to do in the early and mid-game. It ramps you up, contributes chump blockers, and draws you tons of cards. I’d take this over Rhystic Study any day in an Eldrazi build.
Also, this card triggers with Evoke spells. So if you cast a Nulldrifter for the evoke cost, you still draw 5 cards.
#5 Roaming Throne

Roaming Throne is colorless and counts as an Eldrazi, making it an ideal upgrade for the Eldrazi Incursion precon. It can double attack triggers and ETB triggers for all your creatures.
#6 Thran Dynamo

Thran Dynamo is arguably the best non-cEDH artifact ramp for any Eldrazi deck. Since you can tap it the turn you play it, it only slows you down one mana the turn you cast it. By the next turn, you’ll be able to cast your 7 mana and greater spells!
#7 Path of Annihilation

This is exactly the kind of ramp you want in an Eldrazi deck. On the following turn, it can give you up to 4 mana if you both tap and sacrifice the Eldrazi tokens. Plus more if you have other Eldrazi in play you can tap. In the late game this will start gaining you life to keep you in the match if you become a target of the table.
#8 Nulldrifter

Nulldrifter is so good. When you evoke it for 3, you get to draw 2 cards on cast, and it will trigger all of your 7 mana value triggers from Zhulodok, Void Gorger and the like. This is a deceptively good draw card for Eldrazi decks when combined with other card synergies.
#9 Reflections of Littjara

If you’re only able to play one big non-legendary Eldrazi in the game, this card is worth it. If you get to play two or more non-legendary Eldrazi with this in play, Reflections of Littjara is insane.
Best of all, Reflections of Littjara is only $1. Go pick it up!
#10 Planar Bridge

With Planar Bridge, every turn you can get the biggest creature from your deck into play for 8 mana. Going with the ramp plan, Planar Bridge can help you start getting Ulamog’s onto the battlefield as early as Turn 5. This is a must answer card and keeps your deck spitting out game-ending threats.
#11 Leyline of Anticipation

One of the biggest problems with Eldrazi builds is you tap out to play your creature and leave yourself wide open to board wipes and removal. Nobody wants to get hit by a big Eldrazi.
Leyline of Anticipation helps us gain an advantage by playing all our spells at instant speed. This means we can play our big annihilator Eldrazi at an opponent’s end step before our turn begins, giving us the best shot of getting an attack through.
#12 Liberator, Urza’s Battlethopter

Liberator is another enabler of the Flash strategy alongside Leyline of Anticipation. It also can get pretty big over the course of a game and has flying.
#13 Ugin, the Spirit Dragon

Ugin, the Spirit Dragon is a premium board wipe in Eldrazi builds. It also triggers from CMC 7+ triggers like Cascade with Zhulodok, Void Gorger.
Often times, Ugin will be a one-sided board wipe and can clear the board for some massive attacks.
#14 Kozilek’s Command

This is an Eldrazi colorless spell and can become 7 mana or greater so you can use it to trigger multiple other abilities in your deck. Starting at 4 mana or greater, Kozilek’s Command becomes fairly good.
You get to choose two abilities so you can use it to help you ramp and draw cards. Or, if your opponents are getting out of hand, you can exile a creature or dangerous cards from a graveyard.
#15 Panharmonicon

Panharmonicon is a budget-friendly way to keep the triggers coming. If you choose to modify your deck with ETB trigger Eldrazi and colorless creatures, Panharmonicon is a good way to go.
#16 Ugin’s Labyrinth

Unlike other ridiculously overpowered mana sources like Ancient Tomb, Ugin’s Labyrinth is arguable less of a cEDH card and more of an Eldrazi card. The double up on mana is the perfect pairing for an Eldrazi deck.
That being said, this is a land, and I’d rather drop money on the cards higher up on this list before Ugin’s Labyrinth.
#17 Null Elemental Blast

There’s no shortage of powerful multicolored spells and permanents in Commander. Null Elemental Blast is an extremely efficient one-mana answer to most Commanders in the game. It’s hard to find a removal card with a more efficient rate than that.
#18 Worn Powerstone

You want all the ramp you can get in an Eldrazi deck and Worn Powerstone gets the job done. If you dropped a mana rock on turn 2, you’ll have access to 7 mana on turn 4, which means you can start casting some of your high powered Eldrazi spells.
#19 Emergence Zone

Emergence Zone is another land that helps you flash in a game-ending Eldrazi at the end of your opponent’s turn, so you’ll be able to attack with it right away. You’ll want to run as many of these as possible. Emergence Zone also taps for colorless, which is what we want anyway.
#20 It That Heralds the End

I don’t know why this wasn’t included in the precon. It’s a great mana rock like effect for the Eldrazi deck. It also gives your Spawns and everything else +1.
Just remember, it only reduces the mana cost of your 7 CMC or greater colorless spells. So, it won’t help you ramp your early turns.
#21 Winding Canyons

Winding Canyons is another essential part of the flash strategy for Eldrazi decks. It’s become a bit pricy over the years though. Since it’s on the Reserved List, it will never be reprinted. So, you might want to pick a copy up sooner rather than later.
#22 Alchemist’s Refuge

Alchemist’s Refuge is a much more budget-friendly inclusion than Winding Canyons. Given the choice, I prefer to run both for redundancy’s sake.
#23 Not of this World

The biggest pain is dropping your 10 or 12 mana Eldrazi to have it targeted by Swords to Plowshares. Not of This World gives you a free counterspell to prevent that kind of spell from resolving.
Even if you cast this spell for free, its mana value is 7, so you’ll get Ugin’s Binding and Zhulodok, Void Gorger triggers for free. Hell yeah!
#24 Talon Gates of Madara

Talon Gates of Madara is particularly good in the flash Eldrazi strategy. Use it to save any of your creatures or potentially remove a lethal attacker from combat.
Because this is a land, there’s not much an opponent can do to counter its effects. It’s not a spell, so it can’t be countered like one. Even if a player casts Silence, you can still use this ability.
#25 Strionic Resonator

Finally, we have Strionic Resonator. The Eldrazi Incursion precon has tons of triggered abilities, and for only 2 mana you can double them up. The abilities of high mana value Eldrazi are pretty good, and more than worth a mere 2 mana to copy.
We hope this guide helps you add some spice and improve the consistency of your Eldrazi Incursion precon deck from MH3.
