Continuing the now 19-year-old tradition, Wizards of the Coast has revealed the Magic: The Gathering promotional holiday card for 2024, Eggnogger’s ‘Stache.

These holiday cards are given out annually at Wizards of the Coast’s holiday party. Members of WotC internal teams as well as collaborators and business partners may receive one. They are not given away to the public, although they can be found for sale on the secondary market.

See the MTG Holiday 2024 Promo Card, Eggnogger’s ‘Stache, Below:

We can see it’s a foil promo featuring the character Loot, who made their debut in Outlaws of Thunder Junction: The Big Score.

Eggnogger’s ‘Stache, like un-cards, features the acorn symbol in the security stamp location at the bottom. This indicates what silver borders used to mean: that it’s not meant for tournament play. However, in casual games, players can always rule zero these types of cards.

As far as abilities go, Eggnogger’s ‘Stache fits well in counter-based and go-wide aggro decks. It’s a bit slow at 6 mana, but its effect takes effect immediately when you play it, as long as you have the drink ‘stache in place.

What was the MTG / WOTC 2023 Holiday Promo Card?

The holiday promo for 2023 was Seasonal Sequels. See below.

If you’re looking to buy Eggnogger’s ‘Stache or other holiday cards, they are usually fairly attainable on the secondary market. Seasonal Sequels was gifted to WPN stores last year and as of the time of writing, Seasonal Sequels can be bought for only $15 on websites like TCGPlayer.

Happy Holidays from MTG Insider! Stay tuned for more updates during the holiday season.
