UPDATE 12:37 PM US EST: The Secret Lair website is back online and new customers can join the waiting queue
The MTG Secret Lair Hasbro website crashed six minutes after going live with the MTG x Marvel Secret Lair Drop.
Those who managed to get to the website within the first 5 minutes of the drop going live at noon EST were able to secure a spot in line. Most customers shared a screen showing over an hour wait time, even after attempting to purchase within seconds of the drop going live.

Currently, the Secret Lair website is down and not letting in any new customers into the queue. Customers are currently being shown that the lines are paused as WotC fixes technical issues due to the website being crashed.
Tens of thousands of MTG players hoping to get the Marvel x MTG Secret Lair Drop are unable to proceed as a result. Here is the line paused message currently being displayed as of the time of writing.
The exact message people are receiving says, “We’re currently experiencing a technical issue and are working to restore the site as soon as possible.”
No EST time to the Secret Lair site going back online has been provided, and no new people are able to make it in line. The most recent update from MTG came from their X account (formerly Twitter) below.
This doesn’t come as a surprise to many MTG players, as this Secret Lair was hyped by the CEO in a recent investor relations call to shareholders where he said that they expect the Marvel Secret Lair Drop to sell out “immediately” upon release.
We went so far as to call it a disaster in the making when it was revealed that the MTG x Marvel Secret Lair Drop would be limited supply and not print on demand.
